Cancellation Policy for Highland Club Direct
Cancellation Policy Highland Club Direct - for reservations booked after 6th January 2021
All cancellations must be notified to and received by us by email and once received we will confirm your cancellation and process your cancellation request, this notification includes reservation taken via other OTA's (Online Travel Agents eg Booking.com, Air BnB and HomeAway, Visit Scotland)
Your deposit (non refundable) includes an administration fee of £100.
For clarity: An email requesting cancellation must be received by info@highlandclubdirect.com no later than 57 days (eight weeks prior to a standard arrival time of 1600hrs UK local time) of your rental commencement date. Under these circumstances you will only lose your deposit of £100.
IF YOU CANCEL THE BOOKING:
If you cancel the booking for any reason, you must tell us in writing. You just send the notice to us by email. The cancellation will take effect from the date that such written notice is received by us (You can assume we have received it 72 hours after posting). If you cancel a booking we will charge the cancellation fee set out below. The percentage of the Rental Price we charge as a cancellation fee will depend on the time left before your rental is due to start.
(a) If we receive your cancellation 57 or more days (eight weeks plus one day or more) before you are due to arrive, you will only lose the original deposit.
(b) If we receive your cancellation on any day between the 56th day (eight weeks) before the date you are due to arrive and the 29th day (four weeks plus one day) before the date you are due to arrive you will lose 50% (half) of the Rental Price.
(c) If we receive your cancellation on any day including or after the 28th day before your arrival date, or whilst the holiday is in progress, then you will lose 100% (all) of the Rental Price.
Should the Client need to terminate the stay early there will be no reimbursement of booking costs. The Client is
strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive
travel insurance policy. A comprehensive travel insurance policy should provide cover for personal belongings, public liability, accident or other unforeseen eventualities.
Cancellation due to Government advising against all travel:

The client will be offered the option to transfer their dates within the same property. An administration fee of the greater of 10% or £50 of the original holiday cost will be added onto the cost of the holiday

Any extra charges and cost for the new dates will be bourne by the client

There will be no decrease in cost from the original tariff

The holiday dates must fall within one calendar year of the original holiday
Cancellation by HCD for reasons beyond our control “
Force Majeure”.
We won’t be deemed to be in breach of this contract, or otherwise liable to you, by reason of any delay in performance or non-performance of any of our obligations in this contract to the extent that such delay or non-performance is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (for example fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, pandemics, destruction/damage to our property, internet or other communication failure, act of god, blocked roads, war/terrorism, nuclear/radioactive disaster – these are all referred to as
“Force Majeure Events”.
If for any reason beyond our control we are forced to cancel your reservation (or bring it to an end early) we will refund you the full amount of your remaining refundable booking costs based on the time remaining of your rental. This will be the full extent of our liability and no additional compensation, expenses or costs (such as travel or replacement accommodation costs) will be liable.
